The Team
Our Founder
Dr Glenn Frommer is one of the pioneers of sustainability and the environmental movement. He has worked in the field for more than thirty years and was involved in the drafting of the GRI G4 Reporting Guideline, the AccountAbility 1000AP Standard, and Reporting 3.0.
Prior to founding ESG Matters, Glenn held senior management positions with the Mass Transit Railway Corporation Ltd. in Hong Kong for more than twenty-two years where he embedded sustainability through an Enterprise Risk Management approach and implemented China’s and the transport sector’s first climate change policy. His extensive cross-sector and cross-industrial experience extends throughout the international arena, specifically in Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Glenn holds a PhD in Aerospace Sciences, is a Fellow of the International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration, a member of several international and local professional bodies, a Fulbright Fellow, and a published author. Glenn is also the Honorary Chair of the UITP Sustainable Development Commission, having started the Working Group in 2001.

Selected relevant experience:
- Published MTRC’s internationally recognized Sustainability Reports annually since 2002; China’s first sustainability report.
- Led teams of sustainability and CSR specialists through directed work planning.
- Led MTRC’s listing as the only HK Company listed on DJSI and FTSE4Good sustainability indices.
- Led MTRC’s ISO 14001 Certification for MTR Operations and Projects Divisions.
- Championed energy savings: 18% reduction of energy use in revenue service, use of LEDs in stations and trains.
- Chair Emeritus of the Sustainable Development Commission of the International Association of Transport Providers (UITP) and its Charter on Sustainable Development with 135 signatories in 45 countries.
- Planned, managed and executed a total of 30 Environmental Impact Assessments for major projects. Total railway projects involved was more than US$22 billion.
- Assisted in delivering major infrastructure projects on time and within budget: Airport Railway, Tseung Kwan O Line, Ngong Ping Cable Car and Disney Rail Line
- Participated in drafting and advising Government policies and legislation on environmental, sustainability and corporate social responsibility issues.

Mr. Dicky Lo is a seasoned banker with 48 years of working experience in the banking and financial industries with different international banks including HSBC, Barclays Bank, and BBVA. He then joined the China Construction Bank (HK Branch) as the Deputy General Manager responsible for Treasury, Operations, Information technology, Corporate Marketing, Credit Administration.
Mr. Lo was also the Chairman of the Credit Committee, the IT Steering Committee, and the Assets and Liability Management Committee of the Branch. He was then appointed the Independent non-executive Director of China Construction Bank (Asia) Limited.
After a brief time with the OCBC HK Branch, Mr. Lo joined the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange as their CEO where he helped to uplift the operations of the Exchange to align with international standards.

Mr. Addison Chan is the founder and president of Digimarket HK Ltd. He is responsible for the company’s overall business development, operations, and strategic planning. In 2015, Addison joined a local HK industrial product distributor; ABA Well Grow Ltd. He has evolved ABA Well Grow into a multinational company network with distribution, marketing, and value added manufacturer with offices in HK, China, and Vietnam.
He has worked for many multi-national and IT companies, including Hewlett Packard China and Microsoft. He remained with Microsoft for more than 7 years. He was Director for Microsoft PRC and responsible for overall sales, as well as establishing Microsoft’s relationships within its joint venture partners.
After Microsoft, he started served companies, including Digital Empires Company and Hong Kong quest.com, acting as General Manager of these companies. He was also the founder and convener of Marker Space Hong Kong. He is now the consultant for some technology providers in the Greater China region.

Dr. Toa Charm has 30+ years of experience in the innovation and technology industry. He has held senior management positions in Cyberport, IBM, Oracle, HSBC, and Kingdee. His expertise is in Big Data, AI, FinTech, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Tech Park Growth and Management, Digital Strategy and Transformation.
At present, Dr. Charm is an Associate Professor of CUHK Business School, and Chairman and Principal Advisor of a few elite tech start-ups in Asia. He has been actively contributing to the Innovation and Technology ecosystem in Asia and is on the Advisory Board of several leading enterprises, governments, professional and business associations, and academia in Asia. Dr. Charm published his book “數碼力大提升” in 2020 and received the College of Business Distinguished Alumni Award from the City University of Hong Kong in 2019.
